James Louis Schonholtz, age 92, passed away in Woodburn, Oregon on October 2, 2019. He was born September 13, 1927 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Geneva Marie (Hines) and Louis Christian Schonholtz. He served in the Navy for a brief time during World War II and enjoyed aviation and flew his own plane in his younger years. James married Jean Ann Patterson in Pomona, California on May 16, 1957. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and a Masters Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. His profession was an Electrical Engineer for numerous corporations in the defense industry including Hughes, Lockheed, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman. He was a member of Gateway Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

James was preceded in death by sisters Mary Jane Harrison and Marguerite Schonholtz and brother Don Schonholtz. He is survived by his wife Jean Schonholtz of Woodburn, Oregon, son John Schonholtz (Cecelia) of Livermore, California, daughter Susan Williams (Keith) of Norwood, Colorado and daughter Cindy Schonholtz of Woodburn, Oregon; grandchildren Ty Williams (Jayde), Jeff Williams, Christopher Schonholtz, Gigi Schonholtz and great grandson Lincoln Williams. A family service will be held in Colorado at a later date.
