Our sweet mom, Glendola "Gwen" Sanders, passed away on November 14, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. Born on November 25, 1946 in Arkansas to Evelyn Rutledge and Lawrence Rutledge. In the hours before her passing, she was surrounded by her loving and caring family at home.

Gwen moved to Oregon in 1962 with her family to work in the bean and berry fields. She had her only child, Juli, in 1967 and married her life partner Bud Sanders on April 2, 1970. Gwen was a lover dachshunds (Cindy, Spunky, Cocoa, Mandy and Tea) an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed spending time travelling to Nevada with her husband. In June 2019, she moved to Lake Elsinore, California to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, and her brother and sister, Billy Joe Rutledge and Mary Rutledge-Chew-Jouan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Juli and Charlie Welters and grandsons, Kyle Green, Kruise Green and Justin Charles and her great granddaughter Miah Green.

Though she's been gone only a short time, we already miss her dearly. At her requests there will be a graveside service on November 25th at 10:00 at St. Luke's Cemetery in Woodburn, Oregon.
