Glendalee "Glenda" Suzanne Nelson, died Sunday morning June 12 at 2:05 AM, at her home in Woodburn Oregon, at the age of 79.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Gooding, Idaho on November 24, 1936 and was the oldest of 3 children. She went to school in Olympia, Washington then spent some years living in Astoria, Portland and Canby, But in her later years she lived in the Woodburn area. Some of her key positions that she held in her lifetime include club manager at the Canby American Legion and a Dietitian at retirement homes in Canby. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and camping in her RV with her late husband Barry Nelson, and spending time with grandchildren and other family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1036 E Lincoln St., Woodburn, Oregon 97071. There is a visitation/viewing that will be held on Thursday, June 16th from 1 to 5pm at Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel, 390 North 2nd Street, Woodburn, OR 97071.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Barry Nelson, and her son, Michael Pretlow. Survivors include her Sister Cindy Hanson of Aumsville, her brother Thomas Benton Hunt of Gearhart. Her daughter Lorie Andrews of Roseburg, her sons Todd Hern of Sherwood, Kenneth Hern of Woodburn, 6 stepchildren, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
