In Loving Memory Gladys Fern Lee March 17, 1920 - May 14, 2012Fern was born to Roy and Minnie (Ware) Morgan in Wilcox, Arizona. She was a delight to her parents and soon displayed a rare musical talent vocally and playing the piano. Fern was the pianist for her first wedding at 1o years of age. The Morgans were evangelists and Fern would sing in a trio with them from a very young age.Fern graduated at the top her class in 1937 as Valdictorian from the Holiness Bible College, which is now Oklahoma Wesleyan University. While there she met a very handsome young man who was preparing for the ministry. On June 7, 1938 Thomas E. Lee and Fern Morgan were married and launched into church ministries in what is now The Wesleyan Church. Fern became an ordained minister of The Wesleyan Church along with husband Lucky. She served in children, women and music ministries the remainder of her life.Fern shared her musical talent as the accompanist for the Sr. Choir, Wilsonville Sr. Center. As a resident of Windfield Village in Wilsonville, she played the piano for the church service each Sunday and accompanied guest musicians who came to play at Windfield.Fern is survived by her children Gene Lee, Marvin Lee, Sharon Ratzlaff and Donna Rennick; Grandchildren Irene Lee, David Lee, Jeannette Bearden, Kendra Lee-Sheridan, Shonna Schorre, , Donica Boulette, Kristin Hupp, Tommy Laxson and Jenna Laxson; Great Grandchildren Seth Lee, Gabriel Lee, Blaze Hupp, McKenzie Hupp, Brayson Hupp, Madison Laxson, Cutter Schorre , Savannah Schorre and Zerick Bearden.Fern was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Minnie Morgan, a baby sister Ruthie and her husband Thomas E. Lee (Lucky).Viewing will be May 23, 2012 at Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville, OR. From 1-5p.m.Funeral Service: Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. Columbia View Wesleyan Church, Portland, Oregon.Final Interment: Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, Oregon, following the service 3 p.m.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville, Oregon
