Gladys Gloria Fogerson went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2019. She was born to Charles and Della (Maness) Walker April 2, 1926 in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Gladys was a strong woman whose love and dedication to the Lord guided her through the many challenges she faced in life. She had lived in many states as a migrant worker until moving to Oregon in 1942. She also had worked as a welder on the ships in Portland, Oregon, at the Bird's Eye Cannery in Woodburn, Oregon, telephone operator in Boise, Idaho; and at Woolworth's store selling jewelry. While on vacation in California she me Robert S. Fogerson who became that love of her life. They married on September 11, 1949 and went on to have five children.
Gladys loved her Lord, reading her Bible, praying for others, flowers, cooking, painting, and her family.
Gladys was proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Della Walker, one brother Howard D. Walker, two sisters: Dorothy Fout and Bessie Wendt, and her husband Robert S. Fogerson. She is survived by one brother, Charles Daniel Walker who lives in Arizona, five children, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Gladys will be buried December 13, 2019 with her husband at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Arrangements were entrusted to Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn, Oregon.
