George James Mann(Jim)
Born in Portland Oregon on May 21, 1925, passed away in Woodburn, Oregon Sept. 4, 2014.
He was self employed, he served in the Marines Corps from 1942-1945 on the Marshall Islands,
Tinian, Saipan and Iwo Jima. Married Mary Gilchrist Dec. 1,1946. She survives with children; daughter Marilyn and Jim Landrith, son Martin and Judy Mann,son John and Lynda Mann and daughter Molly and Denny Conant. Grand children include Mary Ledgerwood, Angela Fuzi, Nancy Ludwig, Stacy Coblentz, Kathryn Templeton, David Mann, James Conant, Daniel Conant, Emily Brazel and Hannah Clutter. There are also 28 great grandchildren and 3 great great grand children.
Jim lived for The Lord and his family. He was a man of integrity, kindness and his gift was giving of himself and his means. He was a gentle giant in spirit and is sorely missed.
Memorial service will be Sat. Sept. 13, 2014- 10:00 AM at The Church of God at Woodburn.
