George A. Bernards died at the age of 95 on March 25, 2015.
George was born Oct. 14, 1919 in St. Paul, OR to Frank and Charlotta (VanLoo) Bernards.
He lived his whole life in St. Paul, OR, graduating from St. Paul High School.
George married Dorothy Berning in Mt. Angel June 26, 1945.
George owned and operated St. Paul Feed & Supply for fifty years. He served on the St. Paul Telephone Board, Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a member of St. Paul Rodeo Association, and was inducted into the St. Paul Rodeo Hall of Fame.
George was a board member of Concentrates Inc. in Portland, OR. George especially enjoyed hunting, riding his horses, and his grandchildren
George is survived by his wife Dorothy of Mt. Angel, children; James Bernards of St. Paul, Georgene Bernards of Portland, Sarah Wardrop of Lake Oswego, brother Albert Bernard of St. Paul, sisters Dorothy Kuykendall of Portland, Frances Grassman, 7 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation Mon. Mar. 30, 2015 from 1-5 PM at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn.
Funeral Mass Tues. Mar. 31, 2015 at 10AM at St Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, OR
Interment to follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
