Gary Stenger of Woodburn passed away on July 6th at the age of 67.
Gary was born to Ralph and Betty (Wyffel) Stenger on June 19th, 1956 in Silverton Oregon.
He lived in Woodburn his entire life and graduated from Woodburn High School in 1974.
Gary was loved by many and made an impact on people's lives in more ways than one whether that was during catering or just hanging out with friends and family on the farm or on the water. His favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, crabbing, darning, catering, farming, and lighting fireworks. He was also a member of the Woodburn Eagles lodge. He was a hardworking and devoted family man.
Gary married his wife, Mary Kirk, of 42 years in 1980. They had three boys, Daniel, Mark, and Troy. He taught them many lessons over the years that will stay with them forever.
Gary is survived by his mother, Betty; sisters, Eileen Cheryl and Annette; his wife, Mary; sons, Daniel (Stephanie) Stenger of Sublimity, Mark Stenger of Arizona, Troy (Anna) Stenger of Woodburn; and his 8 grandchildren. Also by many cousins and family members
Gary was one of a kind and will be deeply missed and will be remembered by all.
Memorial will be at Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn at 12:00 on August 19, 2023. Followed by a Celebration of Life at the Stenger farm.
