Gary Vernon Clark passed away on August 1st, 2025. He was born on the 14th of April 1945 to Vernon Paul Clark and Lelia Mary Huff/Clark. Gary was the 4th of 8 children and was the first of them to pass from this world.
He is preceded by his wife Janet Bush and daughter Jennifer Lelia Swenson. He is survived by his son Christopher Vernon Walter Clark and wife Beth, grandchildren Aaron, David, Elizabeth and Eric Newhouse. His sisters, Evon Marie Parnell, Pamela Kay Bowers, Sharon Elaine Standley, Gloria Kathleen Nash, Debbie Lynn Ferschweiler. His brothel's Terry Dean Clark and Don David Clark, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Gary grew up on a farm in Gervais Oregon and lived on acreage beside it with his wife and children. He graduated from Gervais Union High School and attended Portland State University for 2 years until drafted the same day as his brother Terry.
He served honorably in the United States Army alongside his brother Terry during the Viet Nam Conflict. Both brothers were stationed with a Pershing Missile Battalion (1st Battalion, 81st Artillery at Neu-Ulm, German).
He was a self-employed roofer and roofed many homes and businesses in the Willamette Valley. After retiring he enjoyed camping, auto shows and especially showing his Henry J automobile. He will be missed by all.
