Frank Everett James, Jr. died in Molalla, OR Monday; May 14, 2012 at the age of 86. Mr. James was born in Portland, OR on October 2, 1925 to Frank & Nellie ( Brownlee) James. He enlisted in the Navy and was discharged in 1946, the same year he married his first wife Verna Walling and had three children together. Later he married Geraline Dowdy in Vancouver, WA in 1979. Frank worked as a logger throughout Oregon, Washington and parts of California up until about 1964 when he began driving truck, he retired in 1997. He lived many places over the years while he was logging but settled in Woodburn when he began driving truck full time and then later moved to Molalla in the early 80's. When frank wasn't working, you could find him fishing; which he loved to do in his spare time. Mr. James is pre-deceased by a daughter, Jessye Mae Bivens and two grandchildren, Jesse James & Robert Bivens. He is survived by his wife Geraline James; Children, Verna Teel and Frank E. James, III. step-children, Wayne Baker, Dale Baker, Evonne McConkey, Sandra McBowell and Terry Baker; 5 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am; May 25, 2012 at Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn. Contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the local V.F.W. in Molalla, OR. Arrangements by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel.
