OBITUARY

Elven "Runt" Lewis Martin was born December 18, 1927 in Salem, Oregon to Lewis H. Martin and DeEtta Mathilde Faist Martin. He died August 26, 2016 in his home in Woodburn, Oregon surrounded by his loving family.

He married Mary Arlene McRae on February 5, 1965.

Runt was a lifelong member of the Woodburn community, where his home served as the gathering place. Newcomers to the community were only strangers until Runt learned your name, then you were a friend. Stories, some taller than others, were always told with laughter and teasing. Runt enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting and deeply loved his family.

Runt is survived by his son Kevin Martin (Larissa), step-son Rick Jones (Jeanie), step-daughter, Sue Bunch (Mike), grandchildren Nathan, Rachel, Pegi, Anna, Gabriel, Melanie and Hollie, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his wife Arlene, brother Harold Martin, sister Anna May Skillman, and a step-son Kirk Jones.

Viewing will be held September 1, 2016 1-4 PM, and funeral services on September 2, 2016 at 2 pm at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel, 390 N 2nd Street, Woodburn, OR 97071.
