Ellen Lorraine Johnston died at the age of 86 on October 20, 2013.Ellen was born July 15, 1927 in Woodburn, Oregon to Joseph and Mary(Kuensting) McCormick. Ellen spent her life in Woodburn, graduating from Woodburn High School. She married Charles Johnston in Woodburn, Oregon Nov. 9, 1946.Ellen was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking, sewing and most of all spending quality time with her grandchildren.Ellen is survived by her children; Donald Johnston of Central Point, Nancy Johnston of California, Marilyn Amis of California, Karen Johnston of Woodburn, Elaine Bronstein of Florida and Maureen Glenn of Portland. She is also survived by her brother Richard McCormick of Woodburn , 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, infant son Michael, sons Steve and Tom Johnston.Visitation will be held Thurs. Oct. 24, 2013 from 2:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn.Funeral Mass Fri.
