Elin Kristine Szliuga of Tigard, Oregon died May 22, 2004. She was 85 years old.Elin was born December 9, 1918 in Eskifirdi, Iceland. In 1950 she married Anthony Szliuga in Iceland where they met. They moved to the United States in 1962. She moved to Tigard in 1999 from Maryland. She was a homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint, cooking and baking, and devoted herself to her family. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.Elin is survived by he daughter Rosalinda Szliuga of Seattle, Washington, a son Ingvar Gunnarsson of Reykjavik, Iceland and a daughter Anna Chavis and her husband Mitchell.
