Eleanor Howe a long time Woodburn resident died at the age of 87 at the Mennonite Home in Albany, Oregon.She was born August 27, 1924 at Altringchan, England to George Andrew and Mary Elizabeth (Moore) Walker.Eleanor came to Woodburn as a WWII "war bride" after marrying Jim HoweEleanor and Jim had three children. The oldest died at childbirth. Paula and John were born after Eleanor came to this country in 1946.Eleanor worked at several locations during her lifetime. She loved working and her years as a Certified Nursing Assistant brought her a special joy.Eleanor is survived by her daughter Paula Jean Watai of Hawaii and son John Andrew Howe of Corvallis. Six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and more yet great great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband James Howe.Funeral service will be Tuesday- June 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn.Interment to follow at Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum- Woodburn.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn.
