Obituary
Ed Ostrom passed away on December 28, 2015 at his home in Portland, Oregon. He was 71.
Ed was born on November 16, 1944 to Tom and Alice Ostrom in Woodburn, Oregon.
He attended Pacific Lutheran College and the University of Oregon where he studied architecture.
He received his license and worked as an architect for many years.
He loved being outdoors in the desert and the woods--camping, hiking, bike riding. He was also interested in genealogy and archeology. He was very creative and built a Japanese tea house.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Ostrom, brother Elwood Ostrom, sister Dora Ann Dodson,
Sharon King, and Dolly Murphy. As well as three children Dr. Susan Roberts, Jeffrey Birndorf,
Michael Birndorf, and five grandchildren.
A service will be held at Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn on Saturday, January 2 at 11:00 am.
