Obituary

Edna Petersteiner of Woodburn Oregon passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Blue Haven Memory Care Center in Dallas, Oregon on July 7, 2019. Edna was born on August 12, 1926 in Klamath Falls Oregon to Asa and Bertha Renner. She grew up in Klamath Falls and graduated from KUHS in1945, soon thereafter she married her high school sweetheart and raised 3 children. She spent time in Arcata CA and Reno NV before settling down in Woodburn Oregon.
Edna enjoyed working for LaPoints in the 50's as she had a keen eye for fashion, but later relocated and worked as a manager at the Sherwood Inn in Tigard, OR for many years before retiring. That is when she met her life partner Jimmie Cope. He preceded her in death in 2008.

She adored her family and friends, and she loved hosting events that brought everyone together. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling, attending the annual costal crab feed, watching the Young and the Restless and she was a loyal Portland Trailblazer fan. She lived through the depression and WWll and conquered polio, giving her a deep appreciation for the good in her life. Edna had a bright and charismatic personality that drew people to her. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Edna will live forever in our hearts as she touched so many lives.

She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Tere), and sons Curt and Hal,
6 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

We would like to thank all of our friends, Blue Haven staff, Serenity Hospice, and Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn for their thoughtful care and guidance through this difficult time.
