Edith B. "Schatzi Cole Born January 25, 1931. Died January 2, 2016
Schatzi was born in the Bronx, NY to Fred and Clara Roegner. She and her family later moved to Brockton, MA while she was in middle school. While in high school, she and her family moved to Oak Park, IL where Schatzi graduated from Steinmezt High School. After graduation, she attended University of Illinois-Circle campus.
She was married in 1956 to Raymond Busch which they had two children (Scott and Terri).
In 1970, she married Jack Cole. They shared the passion of owning and rehabilitating houses. Finally settling on a house in Edina, MN.
Another passion they had was cocker spaniels. They had them in dog shows in which they were proud to have Danny Boy, who ended up to be a Best of Bread in a few shows. But mainly, they were her constant companions.
She was proud of the fact that she overcame alcoholism and became a sponser in AA. Also, she was exceptionally proud of how her grandchildren grew up and have become fine adults.
In 2012, she moved out to Wilsonville, OR in order to be closer to her son and his family.
Schazti was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her daughter, Terri.
Schatzi is survived by her son Scott (Deanne) Busch and 5 grandchildren- Sean and Greg Stephens, and Brittany, Beth and Brandon Busch.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday December 16 at 11AM at St. Stephens church at 4439 W 50th Street Edina, MN
