Doris Mae SollerJuly 27, 1920 - August 21, 2012Doris Mae Soller passed away peacefully on August 21, 2012 at age 92, after suffering a stroke ten days prior. Doris was born in Portland, Oregon to William and Eva Anderson. She had an older brother William (Morry) Anderson. Doris attended Oregon State College where she affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta. While there she met and later married Frederick W. Soller. They lived in Victorville, California during World War II, while Fred served in the Air Force. After the war Doris and Fred returned to the Portland area and later moved to Lake Oswego, where she lived the last sixty years of her life. Doris and Fred had three children; Michael, Terri Anne, and John. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and participated in both activities until a few weeks before her death. She was a long time member of Oswego Lake Country Club where she was both Ladies Club Champion and Ladies Senior Club Champion. Doris is survived by her daughter-in-law Dianna Soller and two grandchildren Tonie and Jeff, her son John, and step-son Rick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, son Michael, daughter Terri, parents Bill and Eva, and brother Morry.Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood, Oregon.The funeral will take place on Thursday, August 30th at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Wilsonville, Oregon. Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
