Doris Faye Limper died peacefully at home on June 24, 2013. After graduating from Tatum Public School, a one-room school in Texas, in 1944, Doris travelled for Western Union, initially setting up telegraph offices busy with war messages. Doris and Eddie "Tex" Limper married in 1950. After further travel, they settled in Portland, Oregon where they raised two daughters. When Eddie died in 1992, Doris joined the extended family of her daughter Leslie where she helped raise two more children, her grandsons who were yet to be born. Doris was a faithful and devout follower of Christ and committed her life to serving God. Doris is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Susan and Kelly Doyle and Leslie Limper and Craig Faiman, and grandsons, Peter and Benjamin Faiman. Her grandson Timothy Doyle died in November 2012. A memorial service for Doris will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Mt Carmel Lutheran Church, 515 SW Maplecrest Drive, Portland, Oregon. Private interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery. Memorial Service for Doris, Saturday July 6th at 1:30pm.
