"On the afternoon of September 9th, 2024 our loving mother and wife passed beyond the mortal vail into the arms of our savior. Donna is survived by her husband Robert Lee Henderson and by her only son Shawn Bryan Payne. Donna was also a confident to two Step-Daughters Lisa Sears and Shannon Daily. Donna has number of grandchildren and step-grandchildren including Justin & Jered Plasket, Cameron & Olivia Daily, Jacob, Andrew & Rebekah Payne.
Donna was the only child of an ambitious former cocktail waitress and a Country-Western singer in Berkley California born, January 13th 1947. Donna had a brief marriage to James R. Payne in 1968 and divorced in 1982. Their marriage produced her only son Shawn. In 1984 she met her sole-mate Robert Lee Henderson. In August of 1987 Donna and Robert were married and remain so for the last 37 years. They will remain coupled for eternity as this mortal realm is but a blink in the eye of our creator.
Donna leaves behind a legacy of caring and nurturing. She was a friend to everyone she encountered. She was always willing to go the extra mile for people. She was the type of woman who would give you the shirt off her own back even if she none other to put on herself. She was warm and loving to those around her. She always had a kind word. She would often reach out with things and thoughts to cheer you up if you were feeling down.
Donna was not a fan of procrastination. She would often have some stern words for you if she found you sluffing off. She was an entraponuer go-getter and believed in seizing opportunity when it presented itself. She worked in the Tax industry and ran her own business for most of her life. Donna often had lofty dreams and could sometimes bite off more than she could chew. Like the rest of us Donna had her flaws but was always a Godly woman. She had a testimony of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ and a belief that all things are possible with God's help.
In the final days of Donna's life she was in poor health in many ways but would still reach out when others were in need. Ultimately her health issues contributed to her passing. We will miss Donna's kindness and her jovial nature. May the arms of Jesus bear her now. We firmly believe that Donna is on the other side doing her best to help out and telling Jesus how he should run his business.
We Love you Donna and will miss you.
We know we will see you again in heaven. "
