Donald Knowles Eby died at the age of 102 on Sept. 10, 2015.
Donald was born May 4, 1913 at Sioux City, Iowa to Ai and Carrie Mae (Anderton) Eby.
Family came to Oregon in June of 1920. They stayed for a time with the grandfather, John Wesley Eby in Canby where the children attended the Eby school which was built on the three and a half acres donated to the county by Mr. Eby.
Later Don graduated from Hood River High School. Don came to Portland after
the war and started Melody Amusements with family, which later became part of
Canteen Corporation, retiring as a corporation division manager.
Don was a member of the Canby Lions Club and Canby Missionary Alliance.
Don enjoyed farming, especially his chickens.

Don is survived by his son Ron (Judy) Alsop, daughter-in-law Marilyn Eby, grand daughters; Paula Eby (Mike) Hall, Carla Eby Lane, Cassie Eby (Jared) Justice, Janet Gullekson (Frank) Waterworth, Sylvia Gullekson (Ken) Thornberg, nieces and nephews; Don (Ann) Doerr, Kathy
Guild (Larry) Ward, Wayne (Barbara) Guild, Norman (Patricia) Guild, Marilyn Guild Jones and Ellen Guild (Douglas) Campbell.

Don was preceded in death by his 1st wife Katherine Terry Eby in 1982. Don remarried
to Maxine Gullekson Eby that died in 2012 and a son David Eby.

Graveside service will be held Mon. Sept. 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at McMinnville
Masonic Cemetery.
