Diane Parham was born on September 10th 1947 to James and Kathryn Dabney in Portland, Oregon. She passed away peacefully at her home in Woodburn on October 10th 2024, surrounded by those she loved.
Diane was the middle of seven children. She spent her youth living in several places in the Northwest before the family settled in Juneau, Alaska. She graduated from Juneau Douglas HS in 1965. She moved to Portland in 1968 and started in the typing pool for the national accounting firm Touche Ross. She worked there many years moving up to manager of the secretarial staff until the firm was bought out. She started as a grant writer but ended up being a career counselor for high school students. She won several state wide awards and finally retired from Colton in July 2012.
Outside of work Diane enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies. You could find her at quilting group, reading or listening to audio books, doing her daily wordle, watching sports or the news, or attending her granddaughter's events. She loved a well-prepared meal, an abundant garden, and a beautifully accessorized outfit.
