Della was born October 13, 1934 in Lehr North Dakota and passed away Saturday January 27th, 2024 in Woodburn OR. She had fallen which resulted in a broken right arm at her shoulder; complications lead to kidney failure and her passing.

Della the daughter of Mike and Martha Schlecht in the town of Lehr, Dakota where she lived on the family farm with her parents and 3 brothers. Going to the local elementary school with her brothers. Then had to travel and board with a family in the town of Litchville, North Dakota for her high school education. From the looks of her high school year books she was quite active in drama, choir and Basketball. She continued her education as she could though life taking Secretarial Business course in later years as computers came into our lives took data processing & computer courses. February 3rd, 1954 Della met Leonard G Albers and married in the town of Bismark North September 5th 1954. Then moved to a farm in Forbes North Dakota where they farmed and gave birth to their 5 children. Then moved to Jamestown North Dakota in 1959, While Leonard worked as a truck driver Della worked for a local Realty office as Realtor's Assistant then later took a Supervisory position in Housewares department at the local Tempo Department Store. In 1967 Della and Leonard made the moved to Hubbard Oregon. Leonard continued work as a truck driver while Della found work at the Birds Eye Cannery and to supplement the family income she would do evening shifts as waitress at J's Restaurant in Woodburn. Soon after the family moved to Woodburn OR. 1975 Della took a full time position at General Foods Personal office and continued on through the as the company changed hands to Agri-pac where Della Retired in October 1999. Della was not ready to completely retire she to a Reception desk part time at Cascade Park Retirement Home until she took full time retirement at the age of 75. Della enjoyed working in her garden at her home in the Senior Estates going to the coast when she wanted, shopping when she wanted and her house was the central location for the all family to go to for the holidays. July 17, 2023 with Late Onset Alzheimer's /Dementia taking hold she moved into the Heartwood Place Memory Care facility.

Della was preceded in death by her husband Leonard G. Albers who died at the age of 42 January 8th 1978, Father Mike Schlecht, Mother Martha Schlecht, Baby Sister Jane Schlecht , Brother Norman Schlecht, Sister in law Vi Schlecht, Great Granddaughter Tialynn. Grandson David. Surviving Family; Terry Albers and Debbie Albers Tigard OR. Dennis Albers and Fran Albers Canby OR, Jeannie (Albers) Burr and Bruce Burr Canby OR, Steven Albers Rainier OR. Janell Albers-Rutledge and Steve Rutledge Rainier OR.
Grand Children Amanda, Dennis JR, Paul, Randy, Nicole, Zak, Jakob, Alana, Corynne, Steven, Cameron, Kaihli,
Great Grand Children; Trinity, Dylan, Kelly, Olivia, Tatum, Hailey, Odessa, Raya, Riley, Konner, Ariana, Conner, Lacey, Theodor and Miss Tikie Albers the beloved pup.

A Visitation will be held at Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel Feb. 2nd 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Funeral Services at Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel Feb. 2nd 1:00pm. Private Graveside Services for the Family to Follow to the Bell Passi Cemetery.
