Dean was born in Seattle, Washington on July 25, 1940, to Woodrow and Maxine Small. They later had Dianne before divorcing and moving back to Portland, Oregon. Maxine later married Jim Bolman who adopted both Dean and Dianne. A sister, Cherie, would soon complete the family.Dean was always a hard-working man. Whether it was in his own home, garden, or the mill, he enjoyed a good day's work. He spent the majority of his career at Multnomah Plywood in St. Helens, Oregon. Dean left the mill in 1992. He then became an apartment maintenance manager, up until the day he retired. When he retired, he moved to a small retirement community in Woodburn, Oregon. In 1962, Dean married Linda Adcock. They divorced in 1976. Together, they had 2 daughters, Julie and Terri Jo. Dean never remarried. He came close once, but it was not to be. For over 30 years, Dean cared for his mother until her death in 2003. Dean's favorite things in life (besides his family) were gardens, sandy beaches and kitty cats. Dean is survived by his father Jim Bolman, stepmother Shirley Bolman. Sisters, Dianne Jackson and Cherie Bolman. As well as daughters Julie Gross and Terri Jo Bolman, who were at his side, 24/7 for 8 weeks, until his passing. Grandchildren Daniel McQuain and Faith Gross. Great-grandchildren, Nadia and Brynden.
