Obituary

David passed away on December 28, 2013 from pancreatic cancer with his loving wife Janice by his side. He was born at US Army Hospital, Fort Lawton Washington to Dr. Eugene and Marjorie Curtis on September 14, 1954. He has three siblings, Sandy, Jerry, and Gary. In 1977 David graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Building Theory and Practice. Throughout his 35 year career in the electrical construction field, he held many positions ranging from Estimator to Vice President. David was a leader who cared about the people he worked with. He was highly respected in the industry. In 2002 David married Janice Aerni. Not only did he marry the love of his life, but from that point forward, he welcomed with open arms and an open heart, Janice's three children, Christopher, Kimberly, and Desiree. As the years went on they welcomed 5 grandchildren together. David embraced his role of father and grandfather and it was here that his huge loving heart was never hidden. Known as Dawg Pa, Papa Dave, and Grandpa, his children and grandchildren adored him and will miss him deeply. And, if all that wasn't enough, he immediately became a brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, and son-in-law to the large Aerni family without missing a beat. His sense of humor, quick wit, well timed sarcasm, and big heart immediately made Dynamite Dave a much loved member of the family.David has many good friends and a large family who feel his loss deeply, but who are also grateful to have been a part of his life. He lived large, was loved large, and will be missed dearly.Service is from 4:30 - 7:30 pm
