Darlene Annette "Dolly" Smith died at the age of 73 on Nov. 21, 2015 at her home with family at her side.
Darlene was born July 10, 1942 at Portland, OR to Joseph W. And Agnes J. (Stravens) Schaefer.
She married Fred J. Smith Jan. 14, 1961 in Gervais, OR. Darlene worked for Oregon Veteran Affairs Assoc, then pursued a career in being a travel agent. Darlene farmed along her husbands side at Treco Farms and Nursery. She also was a volunteer teachers aide at Nellie Muir. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gervais.
Darlene is survived by her husband Fred of Gervais, son Jeffery of Woodburn, daughter Sandy of Redwood Shores, CA, sister Jacquie Matlock of Gervais and 3 grandchildren.
Private Family Memorial Service. Interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery- Gervais, OR.
