Dan L. Krantz of Aurora, Oregon died June 20, 2004. He was 53 years old. Dan was born November 20, 1950 in Missoula, Montana. He grew up in Montana where he graduated from Seeley Swan HIgh School in Seeley Lake, Montana. He then attended the University of Montana. On May 28, 1977 he married Loretta Bartnes-Butler in Lincoln City, Oregon. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era, retiring after 20 years as a staff sergeant. He had worked as a steel cutter. He lived in Washington, Germany and Arizona while serving in the Army, retiring from the Army in 1993 and settling in Aurora. He enjoyed hunting , fishing, camping, the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren. Dan is survived by his wife, Loretta of Aurora, his mother Judith Lease of Richmond, Virginia, children Shane Krantz and wife Maggie of Richmond, Virginia, Erin Krantz of Aurora, Chad Krantz and fiancee Angie of Aurora, brothers Gary and wife Joanne of Spokane, WA, Kelly Krantz and wife Val of Tacoma, WA, Ted Lease and Milt Lease and wife Lindy of Deer Lodge, Montana, sister Amy Carter and husband Steve of Albany, OR, brothers Gary Lease and wife Penny of Yakima, WA, John Lease of Ellensburg, WA, Dennis Lease of Missoula, Montana, and grandchildren Mason Perez, and Haley and Mikey Krantz.
