Obituary for Connie J. Fontaine
Connie J. Fontaine passed away at Avamere Assisted Living and Memory Care in Newberg, Oregon on December 8, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born February 21, 1933 in Seattle, Washington to Lloyd E. and Velva M. Klumpp.
Connie attended Grant High School and later worked as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company in Portland, Oregon. Living at Avamere for thirteen years, she enjoyed singing and the staff would often see her dancing in the halls. She loved stuffed animals, jewelry, purses, make up, and field trips to the local Dollar Tree. Despite her difficult earlier life, she had a sense of humor and a cheerful disposition.
Connie is survived by her sister Patricia Mohney;
nieces and nephews: Joseph Dasso and John Dasso (Florida), Laura Carter, Lisa Obunge, Sonja & Robert Rech, Marla Havens, Greg & Corinne Dasso and family (Oregon), Drew Morgan (Washington); brother-in-law Edward Mohney (Oregon). Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Donna M. Dasso of Gervais, Oregon.
Following a service of remembrance for staff and residences at Avamere in Newberg, a private interment will be held Monday, December 18th at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Gervais, Oregon.
