Colleen June Altizer, Bledsoe, Hankins Born June 15th, 1926Died November 8th, 2012Colleen ( pronounced "Coal-een"), was born in Kingfisher Oklahoma. She was the middle child of 3 surviving children born to Luther Guy Altizer and Ethel May Hopkins, Altizer. While a child, Colleen moved with her family during the dust bowl years of Oklahoma to Caldwell Idaho. In Idaho, she lived on a small farm with her parents, older brother and younger sister and attended school, graduating from high school in 1944. Colleen married Stanley Bledsoe of Marsing Idaho and moved to Grangeville Idaho where her husband was a log truck driver. Later, she and her husband lived in Arcata California, where she gave birth to her son Jim in 1950. They returned to Grangeville 4 years later. Colleen worked as a book keeper for an auto dealer, and an insurance agent. She gave birth to her daughter Patricia in 1955. In 1963 Colleen moved with her family to The Dalles, Oregon. She continued to work as a book keeper for a public utility and raised her family. In 1975, with her children grown, she moved alone to Portland Oregon. She met and married Earl Hankins, and moved to Gresham Oregon. At retirement, Colleen and Earl moved to Woodburn Country Club Estates. Upon the death of her husband Earl, Colleen moved to the Panor 360 condos, where she lived alone. As she grew older and with failing eye sight, Colleen moved to Cascade Park Retirement, room #244 where she lived the remainder of her life. Colleen died in her sleep of natural causes in the early morning hours of November 8th. Colleen is survived by her 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Colleen was a Christian, and a proud descendant of an American Revolution Soldier. Colleen's spirit has joined her father, mother, brother and sister in heaven. Colleen's physical person will be laid to rest next to her husband Earl at Belle Passi Mausoleum on November 13, 2012 around 11:15 AM. Colleen's family will follow her to her final resting place from Simons Funeral home in Woodburn where she will be available for viewing from 10:00am-11:00am that same day. No formal service is planned that day, but all are invited to meet her family either at the viewing at Simons Funeral Home or at Belle Passi on November 13th._____________________________________________________________________________"In my father's house are many mansions, I will go there and prepare a place for you"
