Obituary

Former Woodburn Hubbard area resident Clinton Ostrom passed away peacefully at his residence in Sun City, Arizona on July 22, 2020. Born on April 16, 1928, he was the youngest of 8 children born to Oscar and Anna Ostrom.
Clint was 10 years old when he traveled with the family from Douglas, North Dakota to Woodburn where they joined many settlers of Norwegian descent. Upon graduation from Hubbard High School, he joined the US Navy, and spent two years serving in the South Pacific. The remainder of Clint's life was living in the Sacramento area where he was employed as an auditor for the State of California, later retiring in Arizona where he and his wife, MaryJane, spent many years traveling, golfing, and being active volunteers. Clint was a long time member of the Shriners and Lions Club and enjoyed his leadership positions during his years of service in charity work.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Betty, brothers Clifford, Tom, Arvid, and Orrin, sisters Julia Langford, Verna Heer, Mabel Heer, son Charlie and step daughter Catherine Slomer. He is survived by his wife MaryJane, daughter Patty Mazzoula of Buford, GA, step sons Tom Slomer of Kenmore, WA and Tim Slomer of Concord, CA., as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and Nephews.
