Charles Clarence Hoke

Born February 5th 1935 passed away on January 18th 2016
Born in Ellensburg Washington to Hazel and Patrick McGwin. Chuck went to many schools throughout his youth. He graduated from Yelm High School in 1953. He joined the Army at the age of 19 , and served in Europe until 1956. After leaving the service he tried his hand as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic along with other jobs, but it was a bread route where he had to sell goods that he found his true calling " Sales". Chuck attended Dale Carnage School of Sales, where he learned the art of sales, his true passion. He then went to work for Lilly Miller Co. as a salesman where he worked his way up to General Sales Manager by the time he left the company, 22 years later. From there he worked for Holland Bulb Company, Northwest Chemicals /UAP. When Chuck retired he was working for Nunamaker Sales and Associate, for his long time friend Mary, but never fully retired from Hoke Accounting & Tax Service .

In his lifetime he was involved in many organizations. Which included:
• Charter Member Washington Pesticide Consultants
• Oregon Pesticide Consultants
• Associate Member Oregon Association of Nurseryman
• Beaverton Elks

He was also a long time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha, where he served as an Elder and a Stephen's Minister. He took great pride in singing with the Joyful Singers at the Church.

His hobbies included fishing, boating, R.V'ing, golfing, bowling, but mostly Chuck loved spending time with his family organizing family reunions and family camping trips. If you could sum Chuck up with one word it would be FAMILY. He lived every day of his life for them.

Chuck is survived by his wife Kathleen Hoke, brother Tom Hoke, Sister Judy VonKnoblauch. Daughter Linda Thayer, son Roy Hoke, daughter Patricia Hoke, son Charles A Hoke, son Joel Palinsky, daughter Karaleen Herb, granddaughter /daughter Chandra Palinsky.

17 Grandchildren: Brian Misenar, Brandon Hoke, Brad Thayer, Kelsey Thayer, Kelly Hoke, Kyle Hoke, T.J. Godwin, Austin Godwin, Jerry Palinsky jr., Adina Palinsky, Kari Hoke, Chandra Palinsky, Isaiah Palinsky, Kyla Peters, Samuel Herb, Noel Herb, Jacob Herb, 8 Great grand children and more Cousin's, Nephew's and Niece's than we can count. He was preceded in death by his Sister Carol Anderson, and his son Jerry Palinsky.

Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 18865 SW Johnson St, Beaverton Or 97006, on February 1st 2016 at 11am. Pastor Jeff Shearier will be the officiant. Gathering is directly after in the Fellowship Hall.
