Catherine M. Hardy Catherine McCreadie Hardy, born June 7th, 1923 to Thomas and Elizabeth Forsyth in Barrhead, Scotland, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2013 in Wilsonville Oregon.She married Lawrence Hardy in Scotland on June 29th, 1946. The couple moved to Victoria BC that same year, where their daughter Anne was born. They later moved to Portland, Oregon. Catherine is survived by daughter Elizabeth Anne Bacon and son in-law Dan Bacon of Wilsonville, OR, her brother Thomas Forsyth and his wife Grace of Milwaukie, OR, grandsons Jason Dahl and wife Carol, Jeff Dahl, step grandchildren Dan Bacon and wife Laurie, Michelle Ford and husband Jason, great grandchildren Alex, Samantha, and Sean Dahl, step grandchildren Ashley and Kassie Bacon, Special nephews Gordon, Ross, and Don Forsyth, as well as many nieces and nephews in Great Britain. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Robert Hardy, sister Jessie Sproston, brothers Charles, Frank, and Robert Forsyth. Catherine was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire, Black Watch Chapter, for over 40 years. She participated annually at the tea tent of the highland games. Special thanks to Gabe and Anna of Elder Care of Wilsonville, for the kindness and comfort they provided to Catherine during the last several months of her life. Catherine's memorial service will be Saturday, May 18th at 2:30 PM at Cornwell Colonial Chapel, 29222 SW Town Ctr. Loop E, Wilsonville, OR 97070.
