Carl Jenkins was born on March 27, 1938 in Ahoskie, NC to Mary Conwell of Rich Square, NC and Marvin Jenkins of Phoebus, VA. He graduated from Suffolk High school, Suffolk, VA and Bethany Nazarene College, Bethany OK.



He served in the US Army for two years earning the Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle and Expert Carbine awards and returned to inactive duty for 4 years.



Carl made his home in Eugene, OR then transferred to Portland , Or retiring to Woodburn, OR.



Carl is survived by his wife Nan Jenkins, children Brad (Kristi) Jenkins of Portland OR and Jeffrey (Marcia) Jenkins of McMinnville, OR and grandchildren Joshua, Micah, Mary, Fernanda and Daniel, Jackson and Gage and his sister Dixie (Jim) Schneck of Crown Point, IN.



Above all he loved God, family, baseball and biking. He will remain forever in our hearts and be truly missed.



In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to American Heart Association.
