Calvin Mikkelson died at the age of 94 on October 18, 2012 at a local hospital.Cal was born August 19, 1918 at Silverton, Oregon to Halver and Marguerite (Barnes) Mikkelson.Cal graduated from Silverton High School in 1939. He married Gretchen Onnen in 1946 at Salem, Oregon. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.Cal was a member of the St. Paul Booster Club. He was also involved with FFAhelping set up the Ag. Building. He raised jersey dairy cows, operating a dairy in Aurora before moving to Woodburn in 1949. He also drove school bus for 15 years.Cal is survived by his two daughters; Diane Mikkelson and Carla Mikkelson both of Woodburn. Also two grandchildren Emma Mikkelson and Owen Poole.Calvin was preceded in death by his spouse in 2009.Visitation will be held Thursday- October 25, 2012 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Cornwell Colonial Chapel- WoodburnMemorial service Friday- October 26, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church.Private interment at Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn
