Beulah Rose LederBeulah Rose Leder of Woodburn died on Jan. 19, 2013, due to complications from cancer. She was 90 years old.She was born on May 27, 1922 to Evelena Miller Walruff DuRette and Aaron Walruff. She later became the stepdaughter of Ralph DuRette. She spent most of her childhood in southern Oregon and Idaho.She married Carl Leder on April 9, 1938 in Spokane, Wash. They spent 30 years farming outside of Woodburn. He died on June 17, 1978. She also worked at Boeing Aircraft, MacLaren School, Goodwill Industries and Woodburn Public Library.She enjoyed gardening, needlework and reading. She had a knack for remembering everyone's birthdays, including all of her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings. She also served an LDS mission in 1980-81 in Anaheim, Calif.She is survived by her sister, Betty Hines of Otis; sons, Terrance of Eugene, William of Woodburn, John of Gervais, Victor of Mount Angel, Benjamin of Buena Park, Calif.; daughters, Donna Melendez of Woodburn, Dixie Nelson of Woodburn, Deborah Haycock of Woodburn, Beulah Rose of Keizer; 51 grandchildren, 135 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Woodburn LDS Church, 1000 Country Club Road. Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel. Internment at Belle Passi Cemetery.
