Benjamin Parton Field of Woodburn, OR, died November 1, 2012 at the age of 93.He was born March 25, 1919 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Benjamin & Vivian (Parton) Field. He graduated from Grand Rapids H.S. and then attended the University of Illinois. He Joined the Military and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Mr. Field had lived in several other states such as; Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina before settling down in Oregon in 2001. Before Ben's retirement he worked in hardware sales, retail furniture sales & upholstery and golf club manufacturing. Ben loved golf and was a member of the Woodburn Senior Estates Country Club and even golf pro in Trion, N.C. for Red Fox Country Club. Golf was one of his many joys, but he also enjoyed being a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and playing the drums in a local band "Retread." He is survived by his children; Charles and James and three grandchildren. There will be no services at the family's request. Arrangements by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel.
