Benancia (Bene) Salinas was born on May 18th 1932 at Sugarland Texas. She was raised in Asherton Texas and was the eldest of nine siblings.

The Salinas family was the first family to migrate to the Willamette valley in Oregon from Texas in the 1940's. They continued migrating to and from Texas to work in the agriculture here in Oregon until they settled in St Paul Oregon.

Bene married Alberto Gonzalez in 1956. They had four sons Eleazar, Javier, Mario and Gregorio.
She loved her family with all her heart and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. Bene enjoyed embroidering and especially loved her Tejano music and going to the casino.

Her husband Alberto and son Eleazar (Elio), preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Javier (Guero), Mario (Prieto, wife Lulu), Gregorio (Cookie), 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
