Obituary

Arlo Arthur Weise, born June 29, 1926 in Almena, Wisconsin passed away November 3, 2024 in Woodburn, Oregon. He was the son of Herman Weise and Dora Kleinschmidt. At an early age, his father died. His mother later married Walter Miller and they moved to Oregon. As a young man, Arlo worked in the shipyards. He is an Army Veteran of WWII and served 10 months in Japan. He had a very strong work ethic and was proud of helping build dams and bridges in Oregon and Washington. Some of the dams were John Day, Ice Harbor, Detroit, Big Cliff and The Dalles.

Arlo enjoyed 20 years with his wife Maxine who preceded him in death. He loved hearing her play the guitar and sing country and western songs and hymns. They spent time at flea markets and rodeos and were interested in Native American culture. He always wore his cowboy hat with pride. He loved his church, Hope Lutheran in Woodburn where, for many years, he passed out the bulletins. He also spent many hours cultivating his beautiful roses.

Arlo was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sons, David Weise and Danny Weise and his siblings Marven Weise and Leona Wolk (Miller). He leaves a son, Stephen Weise (CeCe), and two daughters, Linda Weise and Deborah Mc Isaac (Paul). Arlo had many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was blessed with good and caring friends who helped him in many ways.
