Arlene Maeone Wells passed away on February 16, 2013. She was born March 6, 1933 to Norman and Agnes Pedersen, of Grenora, ND. As a young child her family moved to Silverton, Oregon. Arlene graduated from Silverton High School in 1951. She moved to San Francisco, Calif. where she attended school to become a dental assistant. Arlene met her husband, Robert (Bob) Wells, on a blind date. Bob and Arlene were married Aug. 15, 1953 in Silverton, Oregon. They enjoyed 53 years of a loving marriage, Bob preceded Arlene passing away in January, 2005. Bob and Arlene moved to Salem and started their family. They moved their young family to Woodburn in 1959 raising four children. In 1986, Arlene and Bob moved to Carlton, OR. For the past 3 years, Arlene has resided at Heritage House of Woodburn. Arlene had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, with a passion for roses. Their travels took them worldwide. She belonged to several organizations and clubs. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of McMinnville. She enjoyed the progressive dinner Club, Red Hatters, garden club and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Arlene always had time for the family, lending a helping hand when needed. Being a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother she will be sorely missed. Leaving behind children: Nancy (Dale) Conlee of Prineville, Connie (Jay) Costa of Roseburg, Daniel (Diana) Wells of Woodburn and Jannie (Michael) Nitso of Redmond, Washington and her sister Ione Vigeland of Silverton. Arlene has 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on March 2, 2013 at Valley View Cemetery, Silverton, OR at 11:00 AM. Luncheon following at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silverton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Serenity Hospice, Salem, OR
