Anna Merle Rhodes age 88 passed away on Tuesday, August, 8th at 10:24 PM at French prairie nursing and rehabilitation center in Woodburn, Oregon.
Anna Merle Baker was born on July 19th 1935 to Emma Jean Hough Baker and Henry Monroe Baker in Kerrville, Texas. She was 1 of 9 children. Anna and her family moved to Imperial Valley California when she was 13 years old. Brawley California was where she grew up and attended Brawley high school.
Anna Married and had 7 children. Charles David Brittain. Sharon Elizabeth Britian, Doris Elaine Britain Roger's, Katherine Lois Rhodes, Kenneth James (Kymberlee) Rhodes, Dorothy Ann (Mark) Rhodes Pugh and David Kevin Rhodes. She also had 4 stepchildren that she loved as her own. Ronald Evans (Linda) Rhodes, Linda (Kenneth) Rhodes Bosley, Anthony Keith (Cristy) Rhodes and Deana (Skip) Rhodes Gallagher.
Anna wanted to give her children a better life. So she moved to Corvallis Oregon in 1976. She had A big family and has 83 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna had a love for the outdoors. She loved to go camping and fishing. She also was a wonderful artist, writer and storyteller.
Mom, known to many, was always willing to feed and home anyone who needed it. She never met a stranger and considered many her friends. She will be truly missed.

Howard Monroe Baker, Charles Vernin Baker, Joyce Evelyn Baker, Leonard Wayne Baker, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial service will be held at Locke Cemetery in Lewisburg Oregon.

In Corvallis at 6pm till dusk.
This will be a potluck dinner.
We will be providing desserts, water and coffee.
