Gervais - We have gained a Guardian Angel with the passing of our mom Anita Rose Ferschweiler. Anita went to heaven on June 26th, 2018 surrounded in love by her family and friends.
She was born at home in Brooks, Oregon on December 14th, 1930 to Fred and Constance Manning.
She is preceded in death by her husband Cy and eight of her 13 siblings.
Anita was an active member of the St Louis Alter Society, the Catholic Daughters and with Cy was a Honorary member of the St Paul Rodeo.
She loved attending the Woodburn Women's Golf luncheons, when she could no longer join them on the golf course.
Until their health got in the way; you never saw Anita without her sister Teddy. They were quite the duo, right until Anita's passing.
Anita always made family and her Catholic faith her priority.
When not attending a grandchild or great grandchild's sport event, she would be attending mass or praying in the Adoration chapel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Anita is survived by her children: Richard (Debbie), Robert (Cindy), Peggy (Larry), Sharon (Frank), Laurie, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, who were the highlights of her life. She is also survived by her siblings: Teddy Davidson, Denny Manning, Clara Bochsler, Donna Schott and Jean Lenhardt.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 29th, from 12pm - 3pm at Simon Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Woodburn.
Servies will be Monday, July 2nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gervais, Oregon with Rosary at 10am and Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, Burial will be at the St Louis Cemetery with a reception following at Sacred Heart Hall in Gervais, Oregon.
Donations may be to Sacred Heart School in Gervais, Oregon in care of the 'Cy'ber room named for Cy and in memory of Anita Ferschweiler.
