Alfred Claude Musgrove was born Jan. 10, 1920 in London, England. He was the only child
of Frances May & Albert Musgrove. As a young man of 20 he enlisted into the Royal Air Force.
His time in the RAF was spent training in Texas & England. His service included helping
in the design & testing of VC10, traveling throughout the world in a variety of planes. Some of the highlights of his service included 2 investitures at Buckingham Palace and being 1st Pilot on her Majesty's longest trip to South America. Three weeks long & all on time!
He retired with the rank of Squadron Leader. During this time he was married to Mary, who passed away in 1979. Alf moved to the US in 1982, where he married Anne.
He became the proud step-father of 2 daughters, Virginia & Alice. In order to continue his
love of flying, Alf joined the Civil Air Patrol. Anne & Alf enjoyed traveling whether by plane, train, boat or car, taking many adventures about the world. In their years together they enjoyed seeing their family grow. So Alf leaves behind a large & loving family, who are very proud to call him Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandpa Alf. Alf is survived by his wife Anne, daughters Virginia (James), Alice (Frank),grandchildren; Brenda, Joanne, Robyn, Kenneth, Christopher, Nickolas, great grandchildren; Ava, Shelby, Savanna and Jaxon.
Memorial service will be held Fri. Jan. 15, 2016 @ 12:30 PM at Christ Lutheran Church- Aurora.
